The duo Katia and Yehonatan host Ofer Ganor Thursday | 25.4.24
Katia Toobool and Yehonatan Cohen are two of the leading and active jazz musicians in the Israeli jazz scene.
After many years of playing together in different ensembles, the two decided to form their own special duo. The duo was recorded on their debut album “Breath”.
The music of the two, which includes original melodies and well-known jazz pieces in special arrangements, combines an affinity with the jazz tradition and original music, in which the communication between them is particularly prominent.
Their music stems from a variety of influences and moves on a wide emotional spectrum, which fascinates even those who are not avid jazz fans.
Yehonatan Cohen is a saxophonist, flutist, clarinetist and a leading composer in the Israeli jazz scene. Katia Toobool is a first-class pianist, composer and arranger in Israel.
In the upcoming concert, the two will host the international guitarist Ilana Goor Museum, the jazz guitarist who studied and played with the giants of jazz in the world.
