What does it mean to be polite, or impolite, in Israel?

Is the lack of politeness in Israeli culture a feature or a bug?

As many foreigners tend to notice, the behavioral conventions of Israelis are very different from other Western cultures.

What makes the discourse conventions so different and how to interact within this framework is the topic of Pelleg’s workshop: familiarity, proactiveness, and the absence of personal space in everyday interactions, formal interactions, and the Israeli bargaining culture

Join us for a unique evening where we will explore the ins and outs of Israeli “politeness”!

When? November 29th, @ 7:00 pm!
Where? Ulpan Bayit!
Cost? Free
Beer? Yes! For 10 nis each 🙂
