About International Synthesizer Day

The event will unite all lovers of synthesizers, creators, performers, producers and fans of music from all over the world under an international event and a special day of broadcasting – over 24 hours of audio-video to be transmitted on the Facebook pages of the participating stations and the official page of the International Day!

Among the participating stations this year are Red Light Radio (Amsterdam), Worldwide (UK), Dublin (Los Angeles), La Meloton (Paris) and more!

The first synthesizer day was celebrated in 2017 and is supported by many organizations, including the Bob Moog Association, Bibisi 6, Syntopia Magazine and others. Around the world it was marked by a special broadcast event in which more than 7 radio stations collaborated, alongside concerts in Tel Aviv (frequency), The Hague, Moscow, India and more.

Since Robert Mog first introduced the modular synthesizer for home use in the 1960s, his legacy has become a cultural and symbol of progress. The home keyboards completely changed the way in which musical instruments were constructed, the different uses of them, breaking conventions and boundaries in the creation of music, and became a tool for bridging cultures that until then had not been touched. Therefore, the date chosen for the holiday is also Mog’s birthday, May 23
