Finland is known all over the world as an exporter of first class metal bands, from Nightwish through Children Of Bodom and Amorphis and now the hottest name of the last decade: INSOMNIUM
The band was formed in 1997 and in 2002 released their debut album In the Halls of Awaiting, two years later their second album Since the Day It All Came Down was released and in 2009 the third album Above the Weeping World, and in 2009 the fourth album Across the Dark.
It took this talented band 4 albums to “explode”, but when it happened it happened in a big way, in 2011 with the move to Century Media Records (Arch Enemy, Orphaned Land, Dark Tranquility) and the wonderful album One For Sorrow, the whole metal community looked up to the Finnish band with great appreciation.
It was mainly the video for the song Through The Shadows that received almost 5 million views on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZmK2ZWBxQc
The album was a great success and the band embarked on their biggest European tour to date, a new door opened.

In May 2016, the band announced their seventh album Winter’s Gate. A concept album of one song with a length of 40 minutes that contains all the creative elements of the band.
