On Wednesday 4/24/24, an ancient and heart-rending sound will fill the Tarab space: Amir Shahsar [handsome, vocals] and Idan Armoni [microtonal guitar] will come to an exciting duet performance.
Amir Shahsar is an artist of Iranian origin, one of the prominent figures in the world music scene in Israel and is especially known for his rare talent for playing wind instruments.
Shahsar played, performed and recorded with most of the world music artists in Israel, as well as mainstream, Mediterranean music and jazz artists, in Israel and abroad. Besides his extraordinary playing, Amir Shahsar is also a singer with a unique voice.
In this show, Amir Shahsar, accompanied by Idan Aramony and his quarter-tone guitar, will present a rich and exciting evening of Persian, Turkish, Azeri, Arabic and Armenian music, ranging from the folk to the artistic and the ancient to the modern.
