Founded in 1925, Hebrew Book Week is a highlight of the Israeli literary calendar. There are events across the country, Tel Aviv’s main event takes place at Sarona, with hundreds of book stalls with discounted prices, meet the authors, book launches, and fun activities for kids and Hebrew speakers of all ages.
The fairs promote book culture in Israel in an egalitarian and pluralistic manner.
This is the only place of the year where it is possible to present the harvest of literary culture on a huge scale, which includes the participation of about 120 publishing houses.
The event is a one-year opportunity for the audience to enjoy a wide variety of genres and books and a wide range of books that no longer exist in stores.
This is the only place and the only time throughout the year where a huge amount of visitors can directly meet dozens of writers, editors and publishers.
