An evening of live and kicking punk rock with the band The Idiots – who will bring you the best of Green Day’s classics of all time.
Green Day is an American punk rock band active since 1987. The band members are lead singer and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnet and Tara Cole on drums.
Most of the band’s songs deal with drugs, sanity (or lack of sanity), faith, politics, reality, road accidents in life and romantic relationships.
In its beginnings, the band was part of the local punk scene of the city of Berkeley. The band’s early mini-albums, released on the independent label Lookout Records, earned them their core of fans. In 1994, the band’s third album, Dookie, became their breakthrough album, selling over 10 million copies in the United States and 16 million worldwide. Green Day’s next three albums were: Insomniac, Nimrod. and Warning. All three failed to achieve the massive success of Dookie, but they still did well with reviews and sales, and two of them went double platinum and their album Warning went gold. In 2004, Green Day released its seventh album, American Idiot, which managed to rekindle the band’s popularity and spoke to the younger generation, and sold fifteen million copies in the United States.
