Screening in collaboration with “The Extraction from Huntoza”! The podcast that reviews the Copico TV series. Few people know that in the mid-1980s Menachem Golan and Boaz Davidson embarked on a particularly stupid Hollywood adventure – and tried to adapt the book “Kofiko” for the big screen in order to make money. In their version, which immediately disappeared into the never-ending recording archives.
Three friends try to protect a talking chimpanzee from falling into the hands of a cruel circus manager – with the result being a hybrid between a deep metaphor about colonialism and one of the most vulgar and strange things ever seen. The safari was never the same again after this film… Before the screening an unforgettable introduction by the members of the Mahontoza sect.
