Haezor - 13 HaRechev St, Tel Aviv,

Dig the funk? you’ve come to the right place
It is no secret that the popular black American style from the late 60s was not a mainstream thing in Israel, especially not in real time.
However! in the early 80s, 2 extremely gifted musicians have surfaced in Tel Aviv, even in American terms.
Once they have achieved everything there was to do locally, Tal and Yossi left for the international music mecca – the big apple.
In New York, they word travelled rapidly that an incredible rhythm section has arrived and shortly after they were referred to as the “Israeli Funk Squad”

Fast forward 40 years – plenty of water flowed under the brooklyn bridge since and Tal and Yossi are proudly looking at an amazing musical carreer with achievements and summits conquered by no Israeli before them, along with an extensive record of cooperation and creation with the world’s most important musical geniuses such as David Bowie / Lou Reed / Joe Bonamassa / Billy Idol / Gil Evans / Mshel Ndgeocello just to name very few…

This gathering was initiated at the last minute, as soon as Tal’s home-visit was confirmed and will feature:

Tal Begman – drums
Yossi Fine – bass and guitar
How Moshonov – keys
Yair Slutzki – trombone
Yaron Ouzana – trombone
Arthur Krasnobaev – trumpet

DJ Uncle J opens and closes with a rare & nasty funky set
