We don’t look for too many reasons to celebrate, because we always have something to celebrate
But this time the reason is big and doubled!
On April 19 (Wednesday, one time because of Holocaust Day) we will all meet to celebrate International Bicycle Day 😉 And we will also celebrate a whole year of parties in a place that has long since become home – Bavel.
On April 19, 1943, Hoffman took 0.25 mg of LSD and went for a bike ride in the small town in Switzerland where he lived and returned home in an extremely intense mind trip.
“Slowly I began to feel increased pleasure from colors and shapes that were discovered behind my closed eyes,” he described later. “Fantastic kaleidoscopic visions washed over my senses, opening and closing in circles and spirals, exploding like colorful fountains while combining and rearranging among themselves.”
There is no need to expand on how much Hoffmann’s discovery influenced culture and art around the world, from Woodstock to the beaches of Goa, a global psychedelic movement arose that only grew and developed.
Trance music is really a product of this culture that emerged in the early 90’s and since then has been gaining momentum and reaching more and more ears and hearts.

ב-19 באפריל 1943, נטל הופמן 0.25 מ”ג של LSD ויצא לרכוב על אופניו בעיירה הקטנה בשווייץ בה גר וחזר לביתו כשהוא בטריפ תודעתי אינטנסיבי ביותר.
“אט אט התחלתי לחוש הנאה מוגברת מצבעים וצורות שנתגלו מאחורי עיניי העצומות,” הוא תיאר בהמשך. “חזיונות קליידוסקופיים פנטסטיים שטפו את חושיי, נפתחו ונסגרו במעגלים וספירלות, והתפוצצו כמזרקות צבעוניות תוך שהן משתלבות ומסתדרות מחדש בינן לבין עצמן.”
אין צורך להרחיב כמה התגלית של הופמן השפיעה על התרבות והאומנות ברחבי העולם,מהוודסטוק עד החופים של גואה קמה תנועה פסיכדלית גלובלית שרק גדלה ומתפתחת.
מוסיקת הטראנס היא ממש תוצר של התרבות הזו שצמחה בתחילת שנות ה90′ ומאז תופסת תאוצה ומגיעה ליותר ויותר אוזניים ולבבות.
