Join us for a free community event on May 24th at Shraddha. Anthropologist Fiammetta Martegani will present The Japanese Art of Ikebana. The Japanese developed methods for reaching mindfulness by practicing Zen exercises such as Ikebana. Ikebana originated from the time of the Samurai and has been a source of inspiration to creative minds throughout time. The process of creating an Ikebana composition helps develop mindfulness, improvisation, creativity and is a tool to thinking outside the box. This lecture will offer insight on how the practice of Ikebana can be applied to your life.
