The Stage Proudly Presents:

FALL WORKSHOP SERIES – IMPROV 102
with Adaya Turkia

About the workshop:

This workshop is for advanced beginners. In a playful and nurturing environment, we will begin by working on character development; practicing getting out of our heads and getting into character, and learning how to create three-dimensional characters who have emotion, history and motivations. We will then move on to relationship-building between characters and explore how to create rapport between characters on stage. Finally we will take those characters and relationships and explore them further in longer scenes. And of course we will have a whole lot of fun along the way!

About the facilitator:

Adaya is an improviser and psychologist originally from Australia and has been practicing, teaching and performing improv for the past 7 years. She believes that improv skills are applicable and useful in almost every aspect of life; from work to relationships to basic communication skills, and that everyone should try improv at least once in their life!
