1887, Jaffa is already overcrowded and the Jewish community, led by Rabbi Aharon Shloush, is looking for fresh air. It establishes Neve Tzedek – the neighborhood that was the basis for the city that was established 22 years later.
The names of the founders of the neighborhood, Amzlag, Moyal, and Shule, are immortalized in the names of the streets, but how well do we know their story? Or that of Sara Levy Tanai, who founded the “Inbal Dance Theater” in 1949, where she dreamed of translating Yemeni culture into the modern Israeli language?
You are invited to a one-time event where we will see Neve Tzedek in a completely new light!
We start at 19:30 with a glass of arak and chants, from there we will be divided into study groups, after which we will reach the climax of the evening with the musical show “Tikinoni”.
