Damien Jurado, one of the world’s leading indie folk artists, will arrive in Israel on September 8 at the Barbie Club in Tel Aviv.
The singer-songwriter, with 17 albums, continues to amaze the singles for the new album “The Horizon Just Laughed”, an especially personal album and also the first album that Jorado produced alone, after years of collaboration with producer Richard Swift, Which culminated in the masterpiece trilogy “Maraqopa”, “Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Son” and “Visions of Us on the Land”, which gave the albums an iconic status of first-class classicism and placed their albums alongside ephemeral masterpieces of folk-psychedelic worlds Comparisons of icons like Nick Drake and Syd Barrett).
The fact that Jurado’s unique talent – as a writer and performer – can not be ignored – is also permeating to television and film creators. In recent years, Jurado’s songs have been integrated into about twenty leading films and series, including the new (and spoken) series of Wild Wild Country (with the song “A.M. AM” in Chapter 3).
The Maas Gottik band will arrive in Israel for the first time, including Damian Jurado and join an evening that will bring together two of the best songwriters in the contemporary Indie world on September 8 at the Barbie Club.
Mass Gothic’s debut album was the black horse of Sub Pop to 2016, which slowly and patiently sank, creating a consensus of an important indie album and shaping consciousness for future generations. This is actually the new project by Noel Heroux, a former member of the respected indie band Hooray For Earth, which released three albums and disbanded when she touched the height of her artistic work with “Racy” from 2014.
