Crazy where this thing has gone in 5 years!
It started with a beach cleanup instead of a birthday celebration, and ended up in articles in Israel and around the world, collaborations with schools all over the country, municipalities and large organizations, and hundreds of beach cleanups and much more..
We cleaned more than 2 million cigarette butts on the beaches of Israel, we recycled 300,000 butts for art and exhibitions in the public space, we gave lectures to more than 2500 students in Israel and we did outreach to almost half a million smokers bathing on the beaches.
Now, together with partners from abroad, we have developed a first product of its kind made from the plastic of cigarette butts!
