In view of the intensification of the processes of the disintegration of Israeli democracy, the threat of the racist and nationalist spirit that is taking over the Israeli public space, and as a continuation of the civic awakening and the awareness of responsibility imposed on all of us, we – a community of artists, curators, planners, cultural researchers, social activists and involved citizens – wish to gather together and ask what The place of art in these times of crisis and collapse.
We seek to find out the boundaries and areas of overlap between art and citizenship between the home and the street, as sites of active resistance and creation, while sharing knowledge and marking new spaces and modes of action for expression, healing, resistance, cooperation and action, and to create an infrastructure for continued active discourse and collaborations within the art world and beyond.
