Space no.9 is displaying several artists from around the world all based in Tel Aviv. We welcome you to our unique art and design space in the heart of the Jaffa flea market. Come visit us every Friday for art, drinks, and chill vibes!
About the artists:
AMVA is a Décor and Art Studio. Established by Angelica Manzo, she is a Mexican-Israeli designer known for combining traditional art mediums and design methods to renovate spaces with mural paintings, artisanal structures, decorative finishes, furniture and lighting design.
Sophie Kay is a British born artist/illustrator based in Netanya mainly focusing on the botany and flora of Israel. She predominantly uses black ink and acrylic paints to display the details of the beauty of Israeli nature.
Laura Fridman is a painter, digital artist and academically trained dancer based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Her passion for movement, shapes and color began at an early age when she chose to pursue a career as a ballerina. In 2020, as a result of the global outbreak of COVID 19, Fridman was able to dedicate her time to explore her passion for art. Laura currently works in acrylic paint across all mediums as well as Procreate for her digital art making practices. Fridman’s oeuvre is inspired by form, expression and the human condition.
Amy Boren is a contemporary figure painter from NYC now based in Tel Aviv. She received a BFA in Fine Arts from Fashion Institute of Technology and has a background in both graphic Design and textiles. Her work predominantly focuses on the female form depicted in psychedelic colors. Inspired by her strong figure painting background and the art and design of the 1960’s and 1970’s, she continues to explore her use of color and form to blend abstract and figurative.
