Artists House - Alharizi 9, Tel Aviv,

Come on down to the Tel Aviv House of Artists on August 27th at 7:00 for an evening of original art and good vibes!

This exhibition is a collection of self portraits that express, reflect and celebrate different aspects of the woman I was and the woman I’ve become over the past few years. Each picture tells a story of these moments in time.

This body of work was also inspired by C.G. Jung’s writing on archetypes where I captured different reflections of thoughts and emotions that I had as different aspects of the self were expressed.

Most of the photos are processed and grainy as they tell their story. Some are taken in an intimate home space or from a long narrow mirror, through a curtain, with a direct or slanted gaze or staring into the void. In other photographs along side of me are depictions of another person, character or animal taken at times when human companionship was not readily available. Other images are dimmed in black and white giving them the look of dreamy stills from film noir movies.

These images take the viewer on an autobiographical tour while celebrating identities of the fluid and impermanent self that move between themes of exposure and concealment.
