The artworks in the show โApple Flavourโ refer to the aesthetics of the Zula – a marginal space that allows teenagers to gather and fulfill forbidden desires. The term Zula comes from the Arabic word ZAWAL which signifies both the action of procrastinating and the moment of sunset.
The exhibition seeks to evoke various aspects of this exact tension: the indolence that occurs at twilight, at a peripheral location that belongs at the same time to everyone and to no one
