The weather begins to spring and with it returns Cinema Saga. Screenings of quality movies on a large screen at Café Saga! This time – the moving documentary about the life of singer Amy Winehouse!
The film focuses on the short life of the British jazz musician with the one-time voice Amy Winehouse, Haim Which were cut off by the consumption of hard drugs, alcoholism and eating disorders, is a simple and direct film, but is very well-built and effective. This is a biographical lament about great talent, a song that refuses to accept the fact that Wainhaus is no longer here with us, working on a third masterpiece.
Who Killed Amy Winehouse? The paparazzi cameras that did not rest her whole life and were there to document every moment of her collapse and to satisfy the voyeurism of all of us? The dubious men in her life and the bad romantic choices she made? Self-hatred and the sense of doom that accompanied her all her life, or her desire to “disappear,” as one of the characters in the film defines it? All these together?
