A new and exciting interpretation of the ancient spirituals of the Yemeni diwan poetry in the resonant poetry of Amitai Aricha, which are heard here for the first time as they have never been heard before. The D-ONE project of Amitai Aricha brilliantly interweaves ancient poetry with contemporary sound, ancient melodies with new and developed artistic music.
The band’s music is an exciting and surprising experience that connects the worlds of spirit and sound into one complete and mature work, a deep and unusual work of universal sound rooted in an Israeli-rooted space and uniting past and present, ancient and new, east and west.
