Ravid Kahalani, leader of the Yaman Blues band, presents a musical piece about the life story and sacred songs of Rabbi Shalom Shabazi, the 17th century poet and Kabbalist. Shabazi is considered one of the greatest Jewish artists and the most important author of the holy songs of Yemenite Jews.
Yemenite Blues Already influenced in the past by Yemenite culture, Kahlani sang original texts in Yemenite Arabic with influences from jazz, funk, Latin music and rhythms from West and North Africa.
