Abreu was born in 1963 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to a Jewish family.

Abreu was the lead singer of post-punk band The Brazilian “Kafka,” which operated in the late 80s. After several years left the band on a long trip in India, and after that trip Abreue finally decided to come to Israel and start his life anew.

Later, he met two young musicians -Niv Arzi and Dori Sadovnik. This band later became the “Red Axes.”

The first collaboration of Abreu and axes was “kamino de Dreyfus, there already is history, and Abreu became the band’s permanent singer. And participated in many songs: Papa Sooma, Caminho de Dreyfus, Waiting for a surprise, Sabor and more
