So what art will be in the Pasaj?
The exhibition “The Corridor Talk” looks at the corridor as an architectural element that marks a transitional and resonant space and a process of changing identity. The site where the exhibition takes place engenders the preoccupation with intermediate spaces, spaces that are in between, not here and there, dealing with the movement and change of identities. The Passage on Allenby Street in Tel Aviv, a modest shopping center on a small business day, and an underground club at night, allows for the performance of identities. The exhibition is attended by some 20 artists, who present their interpretations to intermediate spaces.
The exhibition is the result of an initiative by members of the Habush Collective, a group that has been working for a third year to promote and be given a platform for feminist Latakavik art, The discourse also dealt with the artistic space and its boundaries.
The Busheh Collective operates through various platforms, including the creation of a PENZIN (magazine) and variable projects such as exhibitions, films and representations. This is the first exhibition that the collective produces independently.
