Everything is golden: Yuval Cohen’s trio plays songs by David Zehavi and special guest Itai Perl!
“We Went Out Slowly”, “Nigunim”, “The Flute”, “Walk to Caesarea”, “Fill Our Bar”, “Shabbat Dropped” and the other songs of the composer David Zehavi, are iron-clad assets in Hebrew song, hand-crafting the landscapes of Old Israel.
Yuval Cohen leads an Israeli All-Stars six, which will perform original adaptations of Zehavi’s songbook. Pearl will join me in singing the six musicians
Yuval Cohen is without a doubt one of the most prominent and influential musicians in the Israeli jazz scene. Outstanding Berkeley graduate, master of composition from the Robin Academy, winner of the Landau Prize for the Performing Arts and the Prime Minister’s Award for jazz composers, director of jazz departments in music schools, leader of orchestras and what not.
