Santa Katarina

Santa Katarina

Santa Katarina is a new trendy restaurant that is situated just next door to Port Said.

We indulged in some excellent dishes, and surprisingly the prices were relatively low. Each dish on the menu has a middle eastern twist to it such as the “Confit Duck on Yemeni Bread” (42NIS) or the “Mixed Grill in Half Pita” (32NIS).

Inside the restaurant is a large taboon designed especially for making the deliciously doughy pizza and focaccia. They have a selection of 5 different pizzas, 1 of which is topped with lamb kebab and taboon roasted vegetables. Our personal favourite was the “Pizza Bianca” (48NIS), topped with béchamel, emmental cheese, porcini mushrooms and truffle oil. Lets be honest, anything smothered in truffle oil is going to taste pretty damn good!

The quality of their meat is incredibly high. We strongly recommend ordering the Beef Fillet Skewer (98NIS) that comes served on a bed of lima bean puree- it was perfectly tender and absolutely mouthwatering!

Santa Katarina is a small and intimate spot, so we recommend you reserve a table on the terrace or seats at the bar in advance. We can’t wait to return to enjoy the live music, great drinks and delicious food!
