It’s amazing how in this line of work we are still constantly shocked by the level of the culinary scene in Tel Aviv. This new restaurant by Yossi Shitrit (also the chef of the outstanding Kitchen Market and Onza) is of a high standard in all respects, and our new go-to recommendation.
It is situated in the lobby of the boutique Mendelli hotel. A tall bar offers a perfect setting for a dinner for two, whilst the main tables are large and comfortable. The far wall of the restaurant is covered in greenery which livens up the darkened room and gives the space its unique feel. We were seriously impressed by the starters- such creative dishes flavoured to perfection, you must try the cauliflower and the poached egg. Even the green salad is worth mentioning! To top the whole evening off- the presentation of the food, the service, and the wine selection were all flawless! (We recommend the white ‘tzora’ from the Judean Hills Winery)
