For a week Israelis make the Sukkah their home

Sukkot is a widely celebrated festival in Israel, a time to be with family and friends. People take pride in building and decorating their Sukkah, and host cool events. It’s not too late to get a Sukkah from Kikar Rabin till 2pm today, cool meetups include a 2-day Empathy Cafe, and a Standup Comedy Night with Benji Lovitt on Wednesday. Number 3MUSIC FESTIVALS

Camp out in Music Festivals and Nature Parties

The five-day Tamar Music Festival in Masada starts on Monday. Find your inner-self at Zorba in the desert from Wednesday. Reggae in the Desert is Friday-Saturday, and the Neverland Electronic Festival is Sunday-Monday. There’s also cool parties next Saturday by E-Boded and Monochrome.

SCIENCE FICTION

Dress up for the Icon Festival Tuesday to Thursday

If you love science fiction, superheroes and comics, this is for you! Every Sukkot the Cinematheque hosts the Icon SciFi Festival on Tuesday to Thursday with over 250 events, including best costume contest! For kids, The Offbits Festival (Tuesday to Thursday), and the Mini-Maker Fair in Jerusalem next Monday, also look cool.

CYCLE TEL AVIV

On Friday morning Tel Aviv hosts its annual race

Cycle Tel Aviv is an annual event held on the Friday in Sukkot, where the weather is perfect for a ride. There’s a beginners’ 8km route, 21km, 40km, and 60km for the pros + a rollerblading. For cycling lovers­ this is the festival of the year! Roads are shut between 4am to 1pm.

We’ve updated our Best Restaurants Guide to include Teder’s new Eyal Shani pizza-bar, and we’ve added Shila (pictured above) and Zakaim. TEDER.FM is hosting some cool events this week, check out street artist Pilipeled’s pop up shop Tuesday to Thursday and the Tatran concert on Wednesday.

Adar Weinreb of Joy Records recreated his ‘Peace’ sign on Ayalon Highway during Yom Kippur. Adar also recently made an amazing viral video experiment with HolyLanders that had over 1 million views. Join him on 11th November for a Peace Congress in Kikar Rabin.
