Huge art event in TLV this weekend!
The annual Loving Art. Making Art. exhibition is back this weekend, with 160 artists exhibiting in 34 galleries and museums across the city! Highlights include Sidewalk Chasers @ at the new railroad park behind Teder (Park HaMesila), loads of events in Neve Sha’anan, and open studios and exhibitions at Art Port. This weekend at the Museum of Art!
Head over to the Tel Aviv Museum of Art this weekend for the New Orleans Festival! With over 100 musicians in various styles – from ragtime through blues, dixie and swing, instrumental to vocal and more! Highlights include: Miss Behave, Edith Piaf tribute show, the amazing Fanga Gospel group, and America in the 30s & 40s! More info on the Secret Tel Aviv website. TATRAN & Garden City Movement!
The Mosaic Music Festival continues at the beautiful Kikar Kedumim in Jaffa! Free outdoor concerts with really amazing musicians. Last week Liraz Charchi lit up the stage (pic above); tonight it’s the turn of Israeli phenomenon TATRAN, and on Saturday the hipster-kings Garden City Movement goes live! The Stage is back with Act-A-Thon!
Our favorite English-language community theater is back with a special 48-hour act-a-thon! The Stage’s community of talented (and super quick!) writers, directors, actors, musicians and producers are coming together this weekend to create 6 new, original plays — including 2 musicals — in just 48 hours! Get your tickets to see the entertaining results of this gigantic effort Saturday, October 16th at 8pm @ Beit Alfa Theater in Tel Aviv! Israel’s very own Glastonbury Festival kicks off tonight! InDNegev is a three-day live-music extravaganza in the dessert with over 100 live shows from Israel’s top bands – the lineup is incredible! The home for parties this weekend!
Make Collabo your go-to place this weekend! Tomorrow they host Urban Festival, a fundraising event for a great cause with live music, workshops and more. Saturday is crazy – in the afternoon pick up some cool rags at the Burner Bazaar, and in the evening they host a 10-hour Dance Fest with reggae, dancehall, hip hop and more. Get exposed Sunday with works of up-and-coming artists, and close out the week Wednesday with a live show from Yael Deckelbaum. Calling all ghouls and ghosts – Halloween is still 2 weeks away but the calendar is already filling up!
