VOICES OF YEMEN 🎵

Fun event on Tuesday: Tradition-al songs get modern groove at Tarab

We can’t wait for Voices of Yemen on Tuesday night at Tarab. Legendary Israeli singer and composer Ravid Kahalani – formerly of Yemen Blues – brings together his new band Voices of Yemen for a night of music and good vibes. His music combines tribal vocals with organic harmonies, powerful drumming, and intense rhythms for a deep, joyful musical experience that brings ancient Yemenite Jewish music to life. Also Tuesday: From the heart of Spain, Noa Drezner performs at The Prince

Experience the passion of Flamenco straight from the heart of Spain with world-renowned guitarist Noa Drezner in an intimate show at one of our favourite bars The Prince. Joining her are two equally brilliant flamenco artists for a stunning and exciting performance featuring selections from Drezner’s incredible new album! Thursday: Israeli band Yanookis Taverna perform at East West House

Enjoy a concert at the beautiful East West House on Thursday night by Yanookis Taverna. The Israeli band is inspired by traditional Greek rebetiko music – the songs will have you dancing the night away, transported to a sunny taverna in Greece. VEGAN FOOD FAIR 🥑

Every Wednesday: Food Fair with Vegan Friendly at the Dizengoff Center

Tel Aviv is going all in on veganism, with more people adopting plant-based lifestyles. The amazing Vegan Friendly team have teamed up with the Dizengoff Center for a weekly pop-up Vegan Market where you can score handmade eco-goods and tasty soy cheese – every Wednesday between 12pm and 8pm. Also this week, on Friday hit up the Vegan Bake Sale at the House of Solidarity for sweet plant-based treats. Let’s be honest, shopping on the weekends is one of the best things to do! On Friday there are two huge pop-up markets: Dying Lake Comics and Komikaza Comic Shop, the city’s top comics stores, host a pop-up comic market at the Dizengoff Center; and Vulvalle Vintage Market returns to Park Hatachna for a Winter Fair (join the Vulvalle WhatsApp Group for more updates)! Meeting people in Tel Aviv can be tough, but Kerem House have provided a home-away-from home for the international community in the city. Spearheaded by the amazing Daniel Gindis and Jason Kipp, they host monthly events at Maze 9. They have also been an invaluable resource over the last few months, pairing thousands of English-speaking volunteers with good causes. Meet them in person this Saturday for a Chinese New Year Party at China Wall restaurant. We can’t believe that we’re almost reached 50k on our Instagram, thank you for all your support!
