Shalom Tel Aviv!

We are doing something a little bit different this week. As usual we have THE DEFINITIVE LIST of the best events going down in Tel Aviv during the next seven days (the usual parties, hi-tech events, shabbat dinners, political talks, charity events, and tiyulim!) – but at the bottom we also have a few select groups looking for new members – let us know if we have missed some out!

Weds 5th February
* ConnecTLV is back with another one of its famous Mix & Match events. Party with Olim, Israelis, Masa participants, and more! Mingle while enjoying great music at an awesome venue –
* Are you interested in the next big trends in Hi-Tech? They say sharing is caring – come and learn about the sharing economy and meet some sharing economy startups in Tel Aviv. The event is free and in English, and will be held at Google Campus –
* Sushi and Music Night – all you can eat sushi, alcohol and good music –
* BLDG5 Record Label present their first label night, shows by Garden City Movement (“a frenetic fusion of dance-floor ready beats and intertwining vocals”) at Pasaz – it’s going to be hipster –

Thursday 6th February
* Hey Photographers – Brush up your skills – The ConnecTLV camera club will be touring the hidden underground area of the new Tel Aviv Central Bus Station –
* Looking for some hip hop on a Thursday night? Trueschool hip hop, funk and soul party at Pasaz –
* Israel’s Wu-Tang Clan? The Cabinet, the Israeli Hip-Hop super-group is back at it again, with opening sets by Ori Shochat, Sabo and Walter – (
* Some proactive people from Secret Tel Aviv are organising a 3-day trip to Petra from Thursday – for more details click here –

Friday 7th February
* Want to help refugees? If you have any spare books in either Arabic, English, Hebrew or Tigrinya you can bring them to Levinsky Park between 17:00 to 19:00 –
* White City Shabbat are hosting one of their legendary Shabbat dinners – what’s better than singing, eating and drinking with 200 friends on Shabbat? –
* Join hundreds of Olim and Israelis this Friday and every Friday night at the Tel Aviv International Synagogue for their acclaimed Carlebach Kabbalat Shabbat –

Saturday 8th February
* The Tel Aviv Lady Social Club have a noon shopping tea party –
* Want to get out of Tel Aviv for the day? Young Travellers are organising a one-day tiyul to the South to see the fields of red flowers –
* The Stage, Tel Aviv’s brand new English language performing arts community is proud to present a unique production of the cult classic ‘The Vagina Monologues’ (running from 8/2/14 to 20/2/14) –
* There is a huge Gypsy party at The Zone this Saturday –

Rest of the Week
* Monday 10/2 – Tel Aviv International Salon presents a talk by former Mossad Director Meir Dagan –
* Tuesday 11/2 – To all lovers of Brazilian music, Cristina Braga presents her interpretations of the music from some of the greatest brazilian composers of all times, such as Tom Jobim, Chico Buarque and Caetano Veloso –
* Friday 14/2 – one for the diary – get your Valentines Day off to a great start, on Friday afternoon Israeli band theAngelcy will be doing a special Valentines Day performance at the Ozen Bar to raise money for the amazing charity Save a Child’s Heart –
