An intriguing and unexpected encounter between two ostensibly opposite extremes. One is a musician and creator, born in the old north of Tel Aviv.
His songs have accompanied us since the days of the Roxanne, through the electronic revolution that he created in the late 1990s until today. Anthems like “My Love”, “New Love” and “15 Minutes” are etched in the heart of Israeli rock. His father, Benny Amdursky, was born in 1931 in Jerusalem. One of the pillars of Hebrew song, fifth generation in Israel. Singer, producer and restaurateur. He died in 1994. The second – poet, born Shikun Sela in Hadera. One of the most prominent voices in the new inflamed East. His breakthrough into the world of poetry shook, angered, and revived the sleepy literary scene. His poems, among them “The State of Ashkenaz”, “All the Ears will Come,” and his books “The dogs that barked as children were blocked here” and “Gold Lions” draw a portrait of a personal and collective reality that gives them a mouth and presence. His father, Aharon Hassan, was born in 1956 in the Agrovank transit camp in Hadera. The founders of Alliance, A retired jade. Today he works in a supermarket in Givat Olga. Roy Hassan and Assaf Amdursky meet to fall in love with each other’s songs, sing, play and read from their work. A meeting of anger and love, painful words and healing sounds and works that glorify the different and the common.
