The annual international tourism exhibition IMTM is the oldest and most important annual event for the tourism industry in Israel and is sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, the Israel Hotel Association and EL AL, in cooperation with the Israel Travel and Tourism Agents Association, Situated in Tel Aviv Yafo.

The exhibition is intended for all those involved in the various tourism sectors – domestic tourism, incoming tourism, countries and tourism bodies from abroad, and has a wide range of Israeli exhibitors: tourism associations from all over Israel, airlines, hotels, car rental companies, shipping companies and suppliers. Services and attractions of various types.

In 2018, 1,720 exhibitors from 50 countries took part in 402 pavilions. In the course of two days, some 25,500 people visited the city, of whom about 15,900 were professionals. The exhibition is an international event that combines and brings together Israeli tourists, colleagues and clients from abroad and the general public, and is in fact the main annual meeting point for the Israeli tourism industry.

In the past years, the professionals arrived in the morning and joined the public in search of new destinations for vacations, attractions and attractive offers that can be found only at the exhibition, and this year it was decided to extend the opening hours to the professional public until the closing of the gates in the evening.

2019 will be the 25th consecutive year in which the exhibition will be held, which develops from year to year and includes professional meetings and conferences that have already become a tradition that encourages the arrival of the professional audience. In the afternoons there are presentations and lectures to the general public.

Another major activity is the IMTM Hosted Buyers Program, which brings together about 100 decision makers from around the world who market Israel as a tourist destination. The plan is the result of cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism.
