A one-time lecture at the Metropolitan Fashion Show “Celestial Bodies” which became the most popular exhibition in the history of the museum (1.65 million visitors) this week – about the relationship between fashion and Catholic religion, inspiration, wealth and luxury, diamonds and embroidery, and how it relates to Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, And Rihanna? Along with a comparison with contemporary fashion designers inspired by Jewish dress, the lecture presents the way in which the worlds of faith and worship are intertwined with contemporary fashion.
