Lobby is happy to announce “One Foot at Sea”, a solo exhibition by Avital Cnaani (1978, lives and works in Tel Aviv).
The Canaanite installation of the Canaanite sneaks into the doors of the lobby, in an underwater whisper that stretches between the ground and the float. In a single sculptural gusta, Canaanite records a whole environment of body parts and stills from the depths. Canaani continues the sculptural-photographic preoccupation with the divided body.

הלובי שמח להודיע על “רגל אחת בים”, תערוכת יחיד של אביטל כנעני (נ. 1978, חיה ועובדת בתל אביב).
המיצב הרישומי של כנעני מתגנב אל דלתות חלל הלובי, ברחש תת ימי שלוחות רגליים בין קרקע לציפה. בגסטה פיסולית יחידה רושמת כנעני סביבה שלמה של חלקי גוף ודוממים מהמעמקים. כנעני ממשיכה את העיסוק הפיסולי -רישומי בגוף המונח והמחולק.
