ZARKOR | Local Utopia // Teder Edition // 1-3.09.22
❊ We are thrilled to invite you to the Tel Aviv launch of the exhibition and the case of the Spotlight project from the Dojo House in Jerusalem ❊
So what is a “spotlight”?
The Spotlight project is a new initiative that sheds light on the Jerusalem design scene. As part of the program, 15 creators from a variety of fields (illustrators, designers, tattoo artists, photographers, writers, and everything in between) gathered for a series of meetings that ended with a host of different visual interpretations of the concept of “local utopia.”
The posters that will be presented in the exhibition were made using a variety of techniques and range from the personal to the political and from the realistic to the sublime. In addition, limited edition nice boxes will be sold on the spot, which include: a set of stickers, postcards, posters and a fanzine printed on the dojo’s risograph printer.

The Spotlight project was created by Ben, Tal, Ashgar and Tal who met in different ways on the streets of Jerusalem and discovered that they share a passion for beautiful and exciting things, a love/hate relationship with Jerusalem, and a desire to work together.
A little more about the dojo and the program:
The Dojo is a multidisciplinary center for art and creativity in Jerusalem. “Rizum” is a unique residency and the first of its kind, where the dojo invites groups of artists to conceive a multi-participant work using the dojo’s machines, and invite additional artists to join through a call to action as the “Spotlight” group is its first residency.

❊ נרגשים ונרגשות להזמין אתכםן להשקה התל-אביבית של התערוכה והמארז של פרויקט זרקור מבית הדוג׳ו בירושלים ❊
אז מה זה ״זרקור״?
פרויקט זרקור הוא יוזמה חדשה המטילה אור על סצנת העיצוב הירושלמית. במסגרת התוכנית, התכנסו 15 יוצרות ויוצרים ממגוון תחומים (מאיירים, מעצבות, מקעקעות, צלמים, כותבות ומה שביניהם) לסדרת מפגשים שבסופם שלל פרשנויות חזותיות שונות למושג ״אוטופיה לוקאלית״.
הכרזות שיוצגו בתערוכה נעשו במגון טכניקות ונעות על הסקאלה שבין האישי לפוליטי ובין המציאותי לנשגב. בנוסף, ימכרו במקום מארזים נייס במהדורה מוגבלת הכוללים: סט מדבקות, גלויות, פוסטרים ופנזין שהודפסו במדפסת הריזוגרף של הדוג׳ו.

פרויקט זרקור נוצר על ידי בן, טל, אשגר וטל שנפגשו בדרכים שונות ומשונות ברחובות ירושלים וגילו שהםן חולקים תשוקה לדברים יפים ומרגשים, יחסי אהבה/שנאה עם ירושלים, ורצון לעשיה משותפת.
עוד קצת על הדוג׳ו והתוכנית:
הדוג׳ו הוא מרכז רב תחומי לאמנות ויצירה בירושלים. “ריזום” הוא רזידנסי ייחודי וראשון מסוגו, בו הדוג’ו מזמין קבוצות אמניות.ים להגות יצירה רבת משתתפים באמצעות מכונות הדוג’ו, ולהזמין דרך קול קורא אמנים נוספים להצטרף כאשר קבוצת ״זרקור״ היא הרזידנסי הראשון שלו.
