Pop-up exhibition at the Nahum Gutman Museum of Art! ‘Offset’, by the artist Noam Palombo, curated by Noga Or Yam.
The exhibition consists of manual print works on linoleum and sound work, created from the preoccupation with a sense of incompatibility.
The name of the exhibition ‘Offset’ refers to the gap between expectation and reality, and the feeling of inadequacy that accompanies it. The prints present graphic images of codes encrypted in binary language, with the act of encryption being an illustration of concepts from an emotional world. The sound work also refers to an intermediate space, and consists of a messiah between the artist and the curator about work processes and the transformation of a work.
Noam Palombo is a multidisciplinary artist (1990), living and creating in Israel. In his work he combines different content worlds, and brings together a fluid worldview through binary computer language, in an attempt to create harmonious works of therapeutic quality within a fragmented work process. In Offset he explores the act of coding, and how it allows for emotional exposure and concealment in parallel.

תערוכת פופ-אפ במוזיאון נחום גוטמן לאמנות!
‘אופסט’, של האמן נועם פלומבו, באוצרות נגה אור ים.
התערוכה מורכבת מעבודות הדפס ידני על לינול ועבודת סאונד, שנוצרו מתוך העיסוק בתחושה של חוסר התאמה.
שם התערוכה ‘אופסט’ מתייחס לפער בין הציפייה למציאות, ולתחושת אי ההלימה המלווה אותו. ההדפסים מציגים דימויים גרפיים של קודים המוצפנים בשפה בינארית, כאשר מעשה ההצפנה הינו המחשה של מושגים מעולם רגשי. עבודת הסאונד מתייחסת גם היא למרחב ביניים, ומורכבת משיח בין האמן והאוצרת על תהליכי עבודה והשתנות של יצירה.
נועם פלומבו הוא אמן רב תחומי (1990), חי ויוצר בישראל. בעשייה שלו הוא משלב עולמות תוכן שונים, ומפגיש תפיסת עולם פלואידית דרך שפת מחשב בינארית, בניסיון ליצור עבודות הרמוניות בעלות איכות תרפויטית בתוך תהליך עבודה מקוטע. בעבודה ‘אופסט’ הוא חוקר את פעולת הקידוד, והאופן שבו היא מאפשרת חשיפה רגשית והסתרה במקביל.
