Mariani de Castro is a unique Brazilian singer with a rare and powerful voice that brings to our country the heat of the samba and the deep connection to Brazilian folklore. She was born in Salvador, Bahia, the port city through which slaves were brought from Africa to the Brazilian coast. Therefore, local culture and rhythms are full of magic and mysticism that still carry the spirit of Mama Africa. It carries within it the heart of the melting pot of the Brazilian cultures.

The Riverina is a dive into this melting pot, the power and gentleness Mariani carries in her interpretation of Brazilian music. In her music, she represents the populations living on the banks of the river, traditional societies that make up the Brazilian identity, which until now have survived with exploitation, difficulty and social inequality in the country. Being on the banks of the river is to be at the point of connection as legitimate and respected beings.
