Yotam Pur is known as the former soloist and lead singer of the San Pedro band, which has been successful and well known and has grown mainly through dozens of performances. Her first album was produced by Baruch Ben Yitzhak of Rockfour. After the release of the second album the band broke up.
Now that he is much older and Yotam is starting his own way, he launches Shorashim, a solo album in Hebrew in his production, by Shlomi Elimelech and Daniel Malchi. The album deals, among other things, with a long relationship that ended and disbanded the band, which was a major milestone in Yotam’s life.
“Open the Heart” is the first single from the album that also opens the album. The song talks about breaking the barriers and fears that stop us from being really happy. A struggle between the brain and the heart.

Yotam opened the performance of the band “Paul Trunk” in the tavern on 3.5.18.

After Aviv Geffen heard “Open the Heart” Yotam’s first single from “Shorashim”, he invited him to open his performance on June 30, 18 at the Shuni Amphitheater, followed by the rest of his summer performances.

יותם פור מוכר כמי שהיה בעבר הסולן והיוצר המרכזי בלהקת “סן פדרו” שזכתה להצלחה והכרה יפה וצמחה בעיקר דרך עשרות רבות של הופעות. את אלבומה הראשון הפיק ברוך בן יצחק מרוקפור. לאחר צאת האלבום השני הלהקה התפרקה.
עכשיו כשהוא הרבה יותר בוגר ובשל יותם יוצא לדרך עצמאית ומשיק את “שורשים,” אלבום סולו בעברית בהפקה שלו, של שלומי אלימלך ושל דניאל מלחי. האלבום עוסק בין היתר במערכת יחסים ארוכה שהסתיימה ובפירוק הלהקה שהייתה אבן דרך מרכזית בחייו של יותם.
“פותח את הלב” הוא סינגל הבכורה מתוך האלבום שבדרך שגם פותח את האלבום. השיר מדבר על שבירת המחסומים והפחדים שעוצרים אותנו מלהיות באמת מאושרים. מאבק בין המוח ללב.

יותם פתח את הופעתה של להקת “פול טראנק” בבית המרזח ביום 3.5.18.

לאחר שאביב גפן שמע את “פותח את הלב” הסינגל הראשון של יותם מתוך “שורשים” הוא הזמין אותו לפתוח את הופעתו ביום 30.6.18 באמפי שוני ובעקבותיה את יתר הופעות הקיץ שלו.
