In Australia, everything is big and deadly: the sharks, the snakes and the sound of Wolfmother. The Down Under ensemble created a life in Old School Rock and Roll and gave it an updated sound that sounds like a hybrid between AC / DC and White Stripes, Zeppelin and Black Keys. With a soloist who sounded like Robert Plant’s lost son, it was impossible to stop them.
The band’s founder Andrew Stockdale’s passion for vintage rock ‘n’ roll was exactly what the music world missed and the band’s 2005 debut album echoed far beyond the continent with hits such as Joker and the Thief and Woman.
