Dov Hammer is one of Israel’s leading Blues artists.
Originally from the USA, he has been playing the harmonica, singing and writing songs for over 25 years, and has played in clubs, concert halls and festivals throughout the USA, Israel and Europe.
Besides having released 8 albums of original music,Hammer has also played with great American Blues artists such as Joe Louis Walker, Lucky Peterson, Jimmy Johnson, Deitra Farr and Zora Young, and opened for Johnny Winter.Dov Hammer’s new album will be released in July of 2019 including the song “I’m gone” which has already been released and received much praise and radio play in Israel and abroad
The Blues power is a 5 piece band featuring Dov Hammer along with Gil Katzir and Yair Fine on guitars, Amos Springer on bass guitar and Nir Segal on drums. Together they play authentic Chicago-style Blues, with harmonica and slide guitar providing the “real-deal” flavor for songs by artists such as Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed and Robert Johnson – and some Dov Hammer originals…
