On the 22nd anniversary of the assassination of Lt. Gen. Yitzhak Rabin, the Prime Minister of Israel, the Minister of Defense and the former Chief of Staff, the “Commanders for the Security of Israel” and “Our Way” decided to hold the annual memorial ceremony this year out of a commitment to perpetuate his memory and promote his legacy. Yitzhak Rabin, and out of sincere and deep concern for harmful processes that are going through Israeli society, processes that threaten the integrity of the people to the point of harming the national-social and security strength of the State of Israel

The rally will take place this year without the involvement of political parties or speeches by serving politicians. It will focus on three central issues – leadership, the integrity of the people and the perpetuation of the Zionist vision for generations to come

The “Commanders” and “Our Way” movements call upon the general public to reach the square to demonstrate unity and a call for the integrity of the people and for ensuring the Jewish and democratic character of the State of Israel

There are deep disagreements in Israeli society. There are issues that divide us. We are allowed to disagree, it is important that we argue with each other – but not at the cost of hatred of brothers. Not at the cost of incitement between us. Not at the cost of harming the basic values of democracy and the spirit of the founding fathers who have transformed a 2,000-year-old dream into reality – a reality that we all have the responsibility to preserve and strengthen so that the Jewish people will continue to exist forever.

We wholeheartedly believe that it is time to do something and fight for what is dear to us. We call upon the people of Israel to prefer the common denominator over the party, to come together to the square and to fight for the future and character of the state in the spirit of the Declaration of Independence
