Waste of food-it’s no use!

Talk and film in the courtyard about the environmental problem that each of us can solve and change the world (a little) through his plate. One-third of the world’s food is thrown into the trash each year – even in Israel. At the same time, hundreds of thousands suffer from food insecurity and we all feel the cost of living well … So what do we do?
We are happy to host The Natural Step – Israel and invite you to a meeting and talk about waste of food. The meeting will begin with a short lecture, which will continue with the screening of Taste the Waste, followed by an open discussion about ways to adopt a change in the situation.

Every year Europe is thrown 90 million tons of food products … How much is it? Enough to load a chain of trucks that would surround the entire planet. Food products dumped in the trash in Europe and North America could satisfy all hungry people on earth three times. The film follows different aspects of the problem, which are more familiar and less, and raises questions about the abundance we live in and our relationship to the food in which we depend.
