★ About Wajib the Film واجب
Abu Shadi, 65, is a divorced father and a school teacher living in Nazareth. After his daughter’s wedding in one month he will be living alone. Shadi, his architect son, arrives from Rome after years abroad to help his father in hand delivering the wedding invitations to each guest, as per local Palestinian custom. As the estranged pair spend the day together, the tense details of their relationship come to a head challenging their fragile and very different lives. Wajib was Palestine’s 2018 Oscar Entry and features Mohammad Bakri and Saleh Bakri.

★ عن فيلم Wajib the Film واجب:
أبو شادي، 65 عاما، هو أب مطلق ومعلم مدرسة يعيش في الناصرة. بعد زفاف ابنته الشهر القادم سوف يعيش وحيداً. شادي، ابنه المعماري، يصل من روما بعد عدة سنوات في الخارج لمساعدة والده في تسليم دعوات الزفاف لكل ضيف، حسب العرف الفلسطيني المحلي. وبينما يقضي الزوج المتباعدان اليوم معاً، فإن التفاصيل المتوترة لعلاقتهما ستبلغ ذروتها متحديةً حياتهما الهشة والمختلفة جداً. حائز على جائزة أفضل فيلم في مار ديل بلاتا (الأرجنتين) ودبي وأمينز وكيرالا وتسعة جوائز دولية أخرى، وكان فيلم واجب هو سبب دخول فلسطين للأوسكار لعام 2018، تمثيل محمد بكري وصالح بكري.
