VOODOO - Ben Zion 1, Tel Aviv,

Voodoo is a religion, a tradition in itself that appeared from West Africa and began in the slave trade. The world is dominated by ghosts, each with a different wive and a ritual of its own. Voodoo people believe in the resurrection of the dead in ceremonies and witchcraft. Will the 2.6-fold Coty universe be revived? Will we all become zombies?

On Saturday we are pleased to host Voices from Africa for a special event that justifies our name. Half dressed, in circles and hands above, we will embark on a cross-cultural journey from the Continent: cinema, food, music and scenery.

We start early with a screening of an amazing film about DJ Berlin who decided to leave Berghagen and the German scene to go to Africa and collect records there. Frank Gosner wanders through this cool documentary between Benin and Togo, Ghana and its neighbors, looking for his next find and meeting friends on the way.

Then they start and do not stop. “Voices from Africa” in full composition without the wounded, Shira Shvodron Ofir Blum and Adam Rotbard, to whom the Bushbeats will accompany the green / black musical lizard. Between 2 and 4, when he is a man and does not crawl, he is called Omri Sharir.
