90-year-old Anise Verde takes the microphone in her hands and shares with us the story of her life, her creative secrets and her unique worldview. She uses archival footage and selected clips from the masterpieces she has directed over the years. But, it was important for her to emphasize, this is not a film about the past – a fair amount of new material she filmed in the past year is also included in the unconventional work that is “Rose on Anise.”
