Urban Innovation as a Catalyst for Sustainability in Secondary & Developing Cities- pre-conference smart city event at the Porter school of environmental studies.

The Israeli Green Building Council (ILGBC) and Smarter Urban & iT Strategies (SUiTS) invite you to a pre- Conference side event dedicated to exploring Israel’s steps towards smart city acceleration.

This event is focused on understanding the potential of technology and data to tackle urban challenges, sustainability and resilience, focusing on the unique factors and needs of secondary cities* and developing urban areas, through questions, ideas & case-studies forged on Israel’s built environment., while exploring Israel’s comparative advantage in urban technology, innovation and policy and the potential to become a test-bed and nurturing ground for smart & sustainable cities for other global secondary cities and cities of the developing world.

The event is held in collaboration with LVRLACC, the organization of cities and counties around Lake Victoria- with the participation of mayors chairman, and senior officials from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
