On February 6, 2023, at 4:17 am, an earthquake of 7.8 magnitude struck southern and central Turkey, as well as northern and western Syria. An area nearly as large as Germany was affected, and it was felt all the way from Israel. This particular one of grave consequence was even stronger and more devastating than the first one which took place in 1999. As Turkish expatriates who live in Israel, being far away from home, we felt both terrified for loved ones remaining in Turkey, and riddled with survivorโ€™s guilt. We decided to hold a charity exhibition in hopes of helping likes of Ahbap Organization, who are tirelessly searching, rescuing and trying to rebuild the lives that are affected by the earthquake.

Between March 12 and 15, Kuli Alma will host an art fundraiser, from where, all the profits will be donated to Turkish Humanitarian relief societies. We are truly thankful for all your help and support, and weโ€™re looking forward to helping to rebuild with you as well
