The first episode in a new series devoted to screenings of masters of the anime world!
In order to open it properly, we will start the series with the film which is the first place in every list of anime movies of all time – the Kotsuhiro Automata of 1988 – “Akira”.
Inspired by films such as Stanley Kubrick’s Odyssey in Space and Ridley Scott’s Bleeder, Otto brought to the big screen at the end of the 1980s an unprecedented animated graphic and philosophical animation, an ambitious adaptation of his futuristic dystopian manga, which quickly became a cult release. They are perhaps gentlemen in the best animation film ever created, with a demented level of details, a psychedelic soundtrack, crazy styling, and a sweeping plot.
