Third Body – Video work by Roey Victoria Heifetz and Zohar Melinek Ezra
The exhibition Third Body features collaborative video works created by artist Roey Victoria Heifetz and film maker Zohar Melinek Ezra over the past year alongside a large-scale painting by Heifetz.
The videos center around a fraught sexual encounter that sways between moments of intimacy and passion to moments of psychological and physical violence. Alongside this encounter, the piece portrays solo shows by several other characters. The work deconstructs and reconstructs the body, wandering between narratives, revealing and presenting a complex expression of the relationship between body and gender, body and sex, and body and spirit.
*The work presented is a part of a feature film that will be released in the near future.
